Historic School House gets some TLC during Ponderay’s 2023 Community Clean-up event
Thanks to dedicated volunteers and donations from community businesses, Ponderay’s historic school house, located in the Ponderay village, received some much needed TLC during this years community clean-up event. What a difference it made! Efforts are still underway, so check back for updates!
A huge thanks to Sandpoint Church of Nazareen, community volunteers, Sherwin-Williams Paint, In and Out Painting, Waste Management, Bonner County Solid Waste, Pacific Steel and Recycling, staff and the Ponderay City Council, for your donations and efforts on this project!
City announces date for Ponderay Neighbor Day 2023
The City of Ponderay is excited to announce the Seventh Annual Ponderay Neighbor Day will take place on Saturday, September 9th from 1-6pm at Ponderay’s “Harbison Field” located behind the Hoot Owl restaurant.

Remodel at Ponderay City Hall
Ponderay City Hall will be under construction from February 17th thru March 15, 2023. During this time, we may experience interruptions in phone service and availability. Santa Claus is coming to town!
Saturday, December 17, 2022, Santa will be flying around town with Mrs. Claus and the Merry Elves spreading cheer and delivering Santa Sacks to the Boys, Girls and Senior Citizens of Ponderay and Kootenai. See below for Santa’s route and schedule, but remember reindeer can’t tell time so listed times are approximate.
Harbison Stage Improvements are under way!
In just one short week Gardner Custom homes, Mountain Metals, Full Circle Powder Coating and In and Out Painting have moved mountains in order to complete construction of the incredible new stage cover at Harbison Field for out event! We are so excited to show it off at Ponderay Neighbor Day on Saturday, September 10th when our band, One Street Over, takes the stage!
We would like to express how grateful we are to all of our generous sponsors who have contributed to this amazing addition at Harbison Field. Our community is continuously so incredibly generous and we can’t thank you enough!
We look forward to hosting community events on this stage for years to come!
